November 2011

The Annual Veterans Day Observance will be conducted by VFW Post 2485 on 11 November 2011. Additionally, the newly constructed Clark Veterans Cemetery Memorial Plaza surrounding the existing flagpole area will be dedicated. Due to Ceremony set-up, please park in the west parking lot. Ceremony will be conducted on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00am, at the Clark Veterans Cemetery.

CVC Volunteer - Jay Drummer on ground works and planting trees (November 9 and 10, 2011)

U.S. Ambassador Harry K. Thomas  will be making a visit to Clark and Subic on November 2, 2011 and have requested some time to visit the cemetery and hear from CVCRA on mission progress.


October 2011

The seventh annual Memorial Service for United States Army Sergeant Maurice K. Fortune will be held on Friday, October 28. SGT Fortune was the first combat casualty of the Iraq War interred at the Clark Veterans Cemetery. He was a former resident of Angeles City, and his father, Littleton J. Fortune, USAF (Retired), is a local resident. Services will be conducted by American Legion Post 10 on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 10:00am, at the Clark Veterans Cemetery.

The Family and former OMSC associates of Donald F. School off will conduct a Memorial Service for him on Thursday, October 27.  His many friends and VFW comrades are invited to attend. Services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 9:00am, at the Clark Veterans Cemetery.


September 2011

Construction commenced 15 September on the Clark Veterans Cemetery Memorial Plaza. This reflection area will encompass the Flagpole area inside the Main gate of Clark Veterans Cemetery. Dedication will be on 11 November 2011 at 1100 hrs., In conjunction with  the annual Post 2485 conducted Veterans Day Observance. All are cordially invited to attend.

Clark Veterans Cemetery update, Boy Scouts from Troop 351, from the International School of Manila, assist with a landscaping project at Clark Veterans Cemetery on 10 September 2011, as part of a Community Service Project. Troop 351 Boy Scouts conduct 9/11  10th Anniversary Observance on 11 September 2011 at Clark Veterans Cemetery. Senior Scouts of the Troop planned and conducted the Ceremony.
